Shymkent Airport has announced the technical opening of its new terminal, as reported by Kazpravda.kz
Initially, the terminal will serve daytime domestic flights operated by the airline “SCAT”. In the near future, flights from “Air Astana” and “Fly Arystan” will also be moved to this terminal.
Currently, negotiations are underway with international airlines regarding tariffs and cooperation. The international sector and transit area are expected to open early next year.
The launch of the new terminal will enhance air connectivity with neighboring countries and nations in Europe and Asia, including France, Germany, China, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Vietnam, and South Korea, as noted by the airport's press service.
