A delegation from the People's Republic of China, which includes representatives from the state-owned enterprise China Grain Reserves Group Ltd. Company, CITIC Construction, and the Chinese Association for Agricultural International Exchanges, is currently in Kazakhstan to explore the potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, issues related to the supply and trade of grain and oilseed crops between Kazakhstan and China were discussed.
“As a result of state support measures, which have allowed farmers to adhere to all agronomic technologies this year, combined with favorable weather conditions, we have achieved a high grain harvest. Almost 26 million tons of high-quality grain have been harvested. We plan to collect 3 million tons of oilseed crops.
In line with the president's directive to increase grain exports to China to 2 million tons, specific measures are being taken. Your market is of great interest to us, and we are ready to increase our annual supply volumes to 3-4 million tons,” emphasized the minister.
For his part, DEN Yu also expressed interest in the supply of oilseed crops and soybeans.
“Every year we import 100 million tons of grain and oilseed crops. We intend to collaborate with you and conclude a supply agreement. There are several issues related to logistics, and we are ready to address them together with you,” he noted.
The parties tentatively agreed on the export of the first 100 thousand tons of grain and the same volume of oilseed crops. The responsibility for consolidating the shipment lies with the Procorporation.
