The minister noted that one of the key priorities is to increase the volumes of mutual trade.
The turnover of agricultural products between the countries reached $67 million in the first 8 months of 2024, with exports from Kazakhstan to France rising nearly sixfold due to an increase in rapeseed exports.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding amendments to veterinary requirements for the export of livestock, as well as a joint project aimed at improving Kazakh breeds through artificial insemination with French cattle semen, implemented by Synetics and JSC "Asyl-Tülik".
The participants also addressed the project for expanding the capacities of Danone and localizing the production of Limagrain seeds in Kazakhstan.
Every year, the Danone plant produces over 50 types of high-tech dairy products, totaling 18,000 tons, with 40% exported to countries in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Mongolia. For yogurt production, the enterprise exclusively uses milk from Kazakh farmers. In 2025, an additional line is planned to be installed at a cost of 730 million tenge.
The issue of exporting horse meat to the European market has also become one of the key topics. Recall that during the Livestock Summit held in early October in France, an agreement on cooperation for organizing horse meat supplies was signed between the companies "Qaiyp Ata" and "Pegase BVS".
Currently, peasant and farming households are showing interest in exporting horse meat to France.
