Kazakhstan has begun exporting meat to Armenia, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The first shipment of 20 tons of frozen pork has been exported to Yerevan. The exporter is a company from the North Kazakhstan region, EMC Agro. This marks the company's first experience in collaborating with foreign entrepreneurs, as until now, the products of the LLP were only sold within Kazakhstan.

“We are also in discussions regarding the export of pork to Georgia. Soon, the first 20 tons of meat will be sent to this country as well. This can be considered a significant event for Kazakhstan, as this market is just opening up for us. Armenia and Georgia have expressed their readiness to purchase up to 400 tons of meat from us monthly. By the way, our company sells 700-800 tons of pork domestically each month. Thus, if we establish long-term cooperation with these two markets, 50% of our production will be exported,” the company representatives stated.

Overall, EMC Agro is exploring collaboration with China, the largest consumer of pork in the world. This summer, representatives of the Chinese Meat Association visited the EMC Agro industrial complex. After inspecting the production, the association expressed interest in importing 20,000 tons of pork annually. In this regard, the company is working to get listed as a supplier of agricultural products in the registry of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.
