A plan for the development of electrical networks has been created in Almaty.

The acting head of the Energy and Water Supply Department, Nurbakyt Serikbay, stated that the document aims to enhance the reliability of the city's power supply and improve the quality of electricity.

Analysis has shown that by 2030, the power consumption in Almaty is expected to increase by 48%, reaching 1450 MW.

In light of this, the key objectives of the plan include:

• the construction of new substations;
• the reconstruction and modernization of electrical networks;
• the conversion of overhead lines to underground cables;
• the installation of new distribution points;
• the replacement of power transmission lines.

Implementing these measures will create conditions for connecting new consumers and effectively planning resources for the coming decade.
