Surrogate goods worth 350 million tenge were seized from a businesswoman in East Kazakhstan.

The Department of Economic Investigations has clarified that a businesswoman had 51,000 bottles of counterfeit alcohol with fake accounting and control marks seized, along with 348,000 packs of tobacco products, totaling 350 million tenge.

“According to the final verdict of the Ridder City Court dated September 5, 2024, the director of the individual entrepreneur was found guilty and sentenced to a restriction of freedom with the destruction of the seized products. On October 15, a commission consisting of representatives from the regional prosecutor's office, the Department of Economic Investigations, Ecology, and judicial executors destroyed the seized products at the waste landfill in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk,” the regional prosecutor's office reported.
