A suspect in a major fraud case has been extradited from Kyrgyzstan.
A man is suspected of embezzling 75 million tenge intended for the supply of ventilation equipment.

“In 2023, a suspect in Almaty, under the pretext of supplying components for ventilation and air conditioning, misappropriated funds from an entrepreneur amounting to over 75 million tenge. After committing the crime, the perpetrator fled, which led to him being placed on an international wanted list. In May of this year, he was apprehended in Bishkek and subsequently extradited to his home country at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” reported the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan.
Currently, the suspect has been placed in a detention center in Almaty. The crime he is accused of carries a penalty of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years, along with confiscation of property.
