The minimum rate for maintaining apartment buildings has been approved in Almaty.

“This year, the working group has conducted calculations for the tariff on the management of condominium properties and the maintenance of common property in accordance with the Methodology for calculating the minimum size of expenses,” noted the head of the city of Almaty’s municipal infrastructure development department Dulat Ashkenov.

The minimum tariff for the maintenance of common property in Almaty was approved in 2010 by the akimat and was set at 25 tenge per square meter, with its validity limited to one year. Previously, the city maslikhat published a decision to change the minimum tariff for housing management and maintenance expenses for 2025, establishing it at 40 tenge per square meter.

“The list of mandatory services included in the Methodology for calculating expenses for managing a multi-apartment residential building consists of management services, which account for no more than 30%, and maintenance services, which account for at least 70%,” the city akimat reported.

In light of the increase in the minimum tariff for housing maintenance to support socially vulnerable populations, the Employment and Social Programs Department of Almaty has developed a draft resolution for the maslikhat. This draft, which is currently in the coordination stage, provides for additional social assistance to homeowners from socially vulnerable groups.
