In Uzbekistan, salary and pension embezzlement totaling 5.8 billion sums has been uncovered.

“In particular, it was established that the perpetrators unlawfully appropriated funds from citizens' salaries and pensions, totaling 5.8 billion sums (230.2 million tenge). Criminal cases have been initiated regarding all these facts,” explains the source.

At the same time, law enforcement agencies actively combated corruption in the construction sector. Thanks to the measures implemented, it was possible to prevent the misappropriation of budget funds amounting to 82.1 billion sums (3.2 billion tenge) and substandard execution of construction works amounting to 61.2 billion sums (2.4 billion tenge).
