Officials from the branch of JSC "Kazakhtelecom" are suspected of abusing their authority.

“The Anti-Corruption Service in the Zhambyl region is investigating a criminal case involving officials from the Service Factory, a branch of JSC ‘Kazakhtelecom,’ which is responsible for managing the national company's real estate portfolio, concerning the abuse of power. The general director and several employees of the branch are suspected of acting against the interests of the state and for the benefit of a businessman by selling him an administrative building in Taraz at a significantly undervalued price. As a result of their illegal actions, the state has incurred a material loss exceeding 450 million tenge,” the agency clarified.

As a precautionary measure to recover the damages, a seizure has been placed on the aforementioned property. With the court's approval, the suspects have been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
